Role Overview
We are seeking a Digitisation Operative to join a 3-year contract position in Runcorn, Queensland. This role focuses on converting historical documents into digital formats while maintaining accuracy and preserving archival integrity.
Key Duties
- Scanning and digitising historical papers and record collections
- Carefully handling archival and historical materials during processing
- Organising and indexing digital records for efficient retrieval
- Conducting quality assurance checks to maintain consistency and precision
- Assisting with digital preservation and managing records effectively
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with digitisation processes, scanning technology, archives, or library and records management
- Familiarity with handling delicate historical archives or documents
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring high accuracy in work
- Interest or knowledge in genealogy, history, or archival research preferred
- German language capabilities would be considered a plus
