About the Role
Our client, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to enhance the efficiency, stability, and security of their technology infrastructure. This role demands hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation, automation, containerization, and infrastructure management within cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, deploy, and maintain effective CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery cycles.
- Automate deployment tasks for development, staging, and production settings to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure setups.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to expedite release processes and increase system reliability.
- Continuously monitor system health, performance, and availability of applications and infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to deployments, environments, and infrastructure components.
- Support container technologies and manage their deployment strategies.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code practices and maintain automation standards.
- Contribute to enforcing security protocols, backup strategies, and operational best practices.
- Ensure maintenance of clear technical documentation regarding infrastructure and deployment procedures.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years in roles focused on DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related engineering domains.
- Proficient with CI/CD tools and deployment automation techniques.
- Solid understanding of Docker and working within containerized platforms.
- Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Comfortable working with Linux OS and command-line interfaces.
- Skilled in automation scripting using languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking, system operations, and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging solutions, and incident investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform or equivalents.
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure infrastructure design.
- Experience maintaining high-availability systems and production environments.
- Understanding of backup, data recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
