Overview
DGC Edits seeks a meticulous and dedicated Video Editor for a long-term contract position based in Mumbai. The role focuses on corporate and branded video post-production, primarily servicing European clients. This opportunity is suited to professionals who prioritize accuracy, orderliness, and quality over flashy effects and trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce organized and clean timelines maintaining professional editing workflows.
- Create alternate versions from interview footage for corporate videos, customer stories, and event content.
- Edit corporate interviews and B-roll while adhering to master timelines and templates.
- Generate social media cut-downs from completed projects ensuring brand consistency.
- Update and modify lower thirds and motion graphics using After Effects with intermediate proficiency.
- Perform multiple rounds of revisions, maintaining consistency across all video elements.
- Organize project files, timelines, footage, and assets with clear folder structures and naming conventions.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on titles, graphics, audio, subtitles, branding, and final exports before delivery.
Essential Skills and Software
- Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is highly preferred; openness to transition from Premiere Pro is accepted.
- Mid-level knowledge of Adobe After Effects to handle existing motion graphic projects.

- Prefer YouTube or reel-style editing over corporate projects.
- Are impatient with revisions or have disorganized editing habits.
- Send unreviewed drafts or miss deadlines without communication.
- Avoid challenges, are inconsistent in employment, or are unwilling to learn DaVinci Resolve.
Selection Process
- Portfolio evaluation and interview.
- Practical editing test including detailed quality control assessments.
- Workflow and organization review.
- Final discussions with DGC and client interaction.
