Job description
Role Overview
Jamalco's Land Administration Department at the Williamsfield site in Manchester is seeking a skilled Database and Finance Coordinator. Reporting to the Land Development & Disposal Supervisor, the successful candidate will oversee the management and use of databases for Jamalco's properties and relevant land interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the application and use of property-related databases for Jamalco.
- Ensure accurate data input, regular maintenance, and effective management of information within databases to support comprehensive reporting requirements of the Land Administration Department.
- Liaise with Finance, Accounting, and Capital Expenditure teams to provide critical data that supports monthly financial closings and reporting.
- Promote continuous enhancements in electronic systems and processes to maintain precise land records, reduce operational expenses, and strengthen internal controls aligned with corporate policies.
- Guarantee the accuracy, confidentiality, integrity, and prompt access to land and financial data to facilitate informed decision-making and smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Background in database management and data manipulation is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and initiative.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
