Role Overview
The Data Privacy Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with personal data protection laws such as PDPL. This position is suitable for senior to managerial level professionals and is part of the Data & Intelligence business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in personal data privacy to ensure client policies comply with relevant codes such as PDPL.
- Develop and revise internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders within the organization.
- Advise data controllers and processors on all data protection matters.
- Foster a culture of compliance and awareness concerning data privacy across the entire organization.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance and proactively address any potential data protection issues.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all company data processing activities.
- Act as the primary liaison for data protection authorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in data privacy.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Management Information Systems, or related fields from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard data governance and management practices.
- Demonstrated practical experience with data privacy strategies and handling business and technology challenges associated with enterprise information management.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential required.
- Certification in Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) is advantageous.
Additional Information
Fluency in both Arabic and English is highly preferred to effectively perform in this role.
