Role Overview

This role focuses on supporting the organization's data functions including ETL maintenance, report handling, and data lake management. Utilizing a variety of technologies such as SQL, Oracle, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Logi Analytics, Tableau, Informatica, and SSIS, the candidate will gain exposure to diverse technical tools. Responsibilities also include designing and implementing new data processes and reports. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee ETL workflows and reporting systems continuously.
  • Troubleshoot production environment failures with initial guidance until proficient.
  • Promptly resolve issues and restart production processes independently over time.
  • Collaborate directly with internal business teams to diagnose reported problems thoroughly.
  • Provide comprehensive progress updates to management on assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Analytical problem solver with a technical mindset.
  • Foundational knowledge of engineering, system administration, and software development practices.
  • Competence in applying basic testing skills, frameworks, techniques, and defect reporting procedures.
  • Understanding of performance testing best practices including load and performance assessments.
  • Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies, best practices, and DevOps principles.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills suitable for engaging with business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and reporting tools.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools such as SSRS, Logi Analytics, and Crystal Reports is advantageous.
  • SQL Server proficiency is a beneficial addition.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies like Snowflake is preferred but not mandatory.
