Role Overview
Join our Sydney-based team as an experienced Cyber Security Consultant focusing on cyber risk assessment and advisory across Australia, New Zealand, Greater China, and Africa. This position offers a valuable opportunity to leverage your strong cyber security expertise towards the commercial and underwriting aspects of cyber risk, with a pathway to develop a career in Cyber Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate cyber risk, security measures, governance structures, and organizational resilience.
- Provide recommendations on cyber risk to support underwriting and portfolio decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with underwriters, brokers, and clients to ensure cohesive risk management strategies.
- Stay informed about new cyber threats, ransomware trends, and regulations to advise accordingly.
- Assist with client engagement, business development, and cyber risk advisory services.
- Broaden knowledge in cyber insurance and reinsurance markets.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 5 to 7+ years of experience in Cyber Security, Cyber Risk, Information Security, Cyber Resilience, or Cyber Underwriting.
- Demonstrate strong familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27001.
- Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Maintain a commercial mindset with enthusiasm for progression within underwriting roles.
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance sectors is advantageous.
- Hold relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CCSP, or CCSK, which are highly regarded.
- Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin at a professional business level, alongside fluent English.
