Job description
Role Overview
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be the welcoming face of the company while delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. This position involves more than just driving — it requires a hands-on approach with varied tasks throughout the shift, working independently and occasionally collaborating with support managers and colleagues at the base.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their orders in perfect condition.
- Ensure the van is safely loaded and conduct all necessary checks to maintain its roadworthiness and reliability.
- Communicate politely and clearly with customers regarding any order changes, substitutions, or near-expiry products, offering refunds when appropriate to preserve a smooth customer experience.
- Handle all delivered products with care, treating each order as if it were your own to uphold product quality and customer confidence.
- Deliver orders promptly within the designated customer time slots, providing warm and genuine service at the doorstep to leave a positive impression.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
- Exhibit a friendly and welcoming demeanor toward both customers and team members to foster strong relationships and team spirit.
- Be adaptable and responsive to rapidly changing customer needs, both on the road and at the store.
