Position Overview

The Custodial Worker 1 role at the Department of Transportation in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, is designed to support safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities and grounds. Job Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks including maintenance of lavatories, offices, garages, and meeting rooms.
• Perform building maintenance duties such as collecting trash, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, and caring for floors.
• Handle grounds maintenance by using small machinery and tools for mowing grass, trimming plants, and managing landscaped areas.
• Address seasonal responsibilities like snow and ice removal from walkways, leaf clearing, and minor cleanup after storms.
• Execute minor repair work such as changing light bulbs and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation by completing required forms and tracking purchases, invoices, and delivery receipts.

Working Conditions & Compensation

• Full-time schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
• No telework option available; onsite presence is required.
• Starting salary for new hires is $36,010 annually before taxes.
