Role Overview
We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist for a full-time remote position responsible for managing the end-to-end provider credentialing and enrollment processes with precision and adherence to deadlines. Key duties include gathering and authenticating provider details, preparing and submitting applications to both payers and regulatory bodies, and updating credentialing records and databases. The specialist will track application progress, resolve any discrepancies, and proactively communicate with providers, payers, and internal teams to maintain a smooth workflow. Regular client communication is essential to address inquiries, provide status updates, and facilitate onboarding for new and existing healthcare providers. This role also ensures compliance with payer and government program regulations, thereby supporting efficient revenue cycle operations.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in Credentialing and Medical Staff Credentialing, including provider enrollment and verification procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with providers, payers, and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Medicare and other significant payer requirements, alongside a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with credentialing software, practice management systems, and standard office productivity applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a remote work environment.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or medical staff services is preferred; relevant educational qualifications such as a degree or certificate in a related discipline are advantageous.
