About the Role
This permanent full-time courier position at FedEx Canada based in Cambridge, Ontario, requires reliable delivery services within specified shifts. The role demands effective time management, strong organizational skills, and commitment to excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Hold a valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record (maximum two violations/accidents in past 24 months).
- Meet minimum scores on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment and ongoing recurrent training to maintain qualifications.
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment.
- Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Preferably have one year of customer-focused business experience.
- Work flexible schedules including Monday 08:55–17:25 and Tuesday to Friday 07:55–16:25; must be willing to work holidays based on operational needs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills paired with excellent customer service capabilities.
- Ability to multitask, manage stress, and function effectively in a pressured workplace.
- Some familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations is advantageous.
- Fluency in both English and French is mandatory for applicants residing in Quebec.
Additional Information
This role requires operating in a PC Windows environment and successful completion of all training and accreditation requirements annually. The position's job description is general, with the incumbent expected to undertake additional duties as necessary. Applications will be carefully evaluated based on driver's abstract, interview performance, and driver competency assessments.
