Role Overview
Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Abu Dhabi team, focused on Infrastructure and Mixed-Use Development projects. You will collaborate closely with key clients to oversee contract management activities, ensuring projects are delivered meeting commercial and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine project plans, specifications, and contract details to verify correct procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
- Maintain strong client relationships and prepare commercial and contract-related reports tailored to client needs.
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Negotiate and determine contract terms and conditions, award contracts to suppliers, and recommend contract awards when appropriate.
- Review and revise existing contracts as necessary to align with evolving requirements.
- Communicate contract terms clearly to managers and relevant stakeholders within the project.
- Set delivery schedules, monitor project progress, and liaise with clients and suppliers to address any issues or obstacles.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial strategies that support project success.
- Analyze potential risks associated with contract clauses and advise accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, owners, and other parties to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Ensure all contractual deadlines and conditions are strictly adhered to throughout the project timeline.
- Maintain organized records of contracts and related documentation in both physical and digital formats.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven professional experience as a Contracts Manager.
- Fundamental understanding of legal aspects pertaining to contract management.
- Excellent written communication capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or discrepancies.
- Robust analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple contracts efficiently.
- Effective at working with diverse seniority levels including junior staff, managers, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
