Role Overview
The Contract Administrator position is a full-time role located in the Greater Newcastle Area that offers hybrid working flexibility including some work-from-home arrangements. The primary responsibility is to prepare, review, and manage contracts for both commercial and residential projects, guaranteeing adherence to company policies and legal standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer daily contract documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Track contract variations and monitor project budgets.
- Assist project managers with procurement processes and subcontractor agreements.
- Communicate with clients, consultants, and suppliers to clarify contract terms and resolve any issues.
- Support tendering processes and contribute to risk assessments.
- Enhance contract administration workflows and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in contract negotiation and stakeholder communication to secure compliant and favorable contract terms.
- Experienced in contract management and procurement including documentation oversight and managing supplier/subcontractor agreements.
- Strong analytical abilities for reviewing contract conditions, assessing risks, and tracking financial as well as project performance metrics.
- Work experience in construction or property sectors, particularly with commercial or multi-residential projects, is preferred.
- Competent with contract administration software, Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), and document management platforms.
- Holds relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Law, Business, or related fields, or possesses equivalent work experience.
- Keen attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Able to work collaboratively in project teams and independently within a hybrid work model.
