Container Hoist Driver - Afternoon Shift

Role Overview

Transam Logistics is seeking a dedicated Container Hoist Driver for afternoon shifts at their Panmure facility in Auckland. The company specializes in integrated supply chain solutions connecting global locations through sea, airfreight, trucking, customs, and warehousing services. The role involves safely operating single or double stacker container hoists to load, unload, and stack 20’ and 40’ containers on trucks, stacking containers up to seven high.

Key Responsibilities and Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a full New Zealand Class 1 driving license; Class 2 or Class 4 licenses are advantageous. A solid understanding of health and safety standards is essential, alongside the ability to work effectively within a team and follow established procedures with meticulous attention to detail. While previous container hoist operation experience is preferred, training will be provided to capable candidates. A strong work ethic, self-starting attitude, and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications and Screening

Candidates must be able to clear Ministry of Justice and ACC background checks in addition to passing drug and alcohol screenings as part of the recruitment process. The position is open to applicants with legal rights to live and work in New Zealand.

Working Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to midnight, with flexibility for overtime to meet operational needs.
