Role Overview
We seek a Construction Project Coordinator based in Auckland, New Zealand, to support the Construction business nationwide. This permanent, full-time position reports to the Delivery Operations Lead and works closely with Project Managers to enhance project delivery, scheduling, and risk management, focusing on minimizing project close-out delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Boost and Avetta applications ensuring contractor and site compliance.
- Prepare, distribute, and oversee contracts, quotations, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Track open and aged purchase orders via the JDE system and proactively ensure timely completion.
- Handle non-PO invoices and coordinate shipment and logistics tracking efforts.
- Regularly review storage expenses and freight invoices, acting as a procurement gatekeeper, escalating cost overruns.
- Verify timesheets including overtime, allowances, and cost coding before Project Manager approval.
- Ensure all quality documentation is finalized and defect closures completed to facilitate project completion (NIS).
- Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Service departments to support cross-functional project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Preferred tertiary qualifications in Building, Engineering, or relevant Electrical/Mechanical Trade Certificates.
- Business or Commerce degrees are also desirable.
- 2-3 years' experience in managing lift and escalator installation projects is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with teams including Sales, New Equipment, Contract Management, Builders, and Consultants.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven organizational and planning capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work safely and efficiently in dynamic settings autonomously or within a team.
