Opportunity Overview

The Compliance Facilitator plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing quality and compliance standards across the region, including working with contractors and co-providers through oversight of quality management systems and audit processes. This position assists in refining systems and processes in line with vocational and further education quality benchmarks and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and actively maintain integrated quality compliance and improvement systems regionally.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the regional audit program by designing audit strategies and supporting internal, external, and departmental audits.
  • Oversee audit rectification processes, facilitating corrective and preventative actions to ensure continual quality improvement.
  • Gather, analyse, report, and disseminate stakeholder feedback to inform ongoing enhancements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure statutory and legislative compliance across various business functions.
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, developing resources, training programs, and advising educational staff on audit preparation and compliance matters.
  • Provide expert advice on standards, legislation, policies, and contracts relevant to the region’s educational and quality management systems.
  • Monitor audit outcomes, identify trends, and propose recommendations to improve quality and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct research related to business functions and contribute to advancements in business processes and practices.
  • Champion cultural transformation through embodying values such as Safety First, Collaboration, Initiative, Customer Focus, and Accountability.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience engaging clients throughout management system audits including root cause analysis, reporting, and enabling corrective/preventative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the current Registered Training Organisation (RTO) quality standards and regulatory requirements for training services.
  • Understanding of compliance procedures necessary for an organisation’s RTO registration and ongoing status maintenance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing detailed reports, submissions, and correspondence.
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Certification in Quality Auditing.

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full-time role based primarily at the TAFE Queensland East Coast Hervey Bay campus, though alternative East Coast campus locations or other TAFE campuses may be considered.
Reporting is to the Manager, Quality and LMS Operations.
