About the Role

Join Electronic Arts (EA) as a German-speaking Community Coordinator based in Galway, Ireland. This hybrid position requires attendance three days a week onsite at EA's Galway office, reporting to the Community Team Manager. EA fosters creativity, passion, and teamwork while connecting fans globally through gaming experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vibrant, inclusive community platforms including EA Forums and other channels.
  • Assist players by resolving issues related to gameplay, accounts, and technical difficulties.
  • Correct misinformation and educate the community through reliable information and resources.
  • Balance reactive support with proactive engagement, deciding when to intervene or when to allow natural community discourse.
  • Impose community guidelines consistently while encouraging respectful and constructive dialogue.
  • Redirect unproductive or off-topic conversations back on track.
  • Handle disruptive conduct such as misinformation, repeated threads, or violations of rules.
  • Identify trends, common questions, and potential risks or opportunities and relay insights to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improving communication and self-service tools by spotting recurring patterns in community feedback.
  • Monitor player behavior continuously to inform future engagement approaches.
  • Develop strong connections with key community members, including Super Users and content creators.
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues needing management awareness.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience providing support or managing online gaming communities.
  • Fluent in German at a native level (spoken and written) and proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience using community platforms such as EA Forums, Discord, Steam, or Reddit.
  • Skilled in creating clear, grammar-accurate public communications for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledgeable in moderation techniques and fostering healthy online environments.
  • Able to identify engagement opportunities and appropriately escalate issues.
  • Capable of analyzing extensive player feedback to discover common patterns.
  • Efficient in managing multiple active discussions with a balance of support and content moderation.
  • Confident in handling challenging interactions while maintaining professionalism and impartiality.
  • Curious about player motivations and community behavior dynamics.
  • Experienced in working with online communities and live service gaming environments.
