Overview
Ottimo Property Services is seeking a Mobile Cleaning Operative to maintain multiple residential developments near Chesterfield (postcode S44). This position requires a full UK driving licence to travel between locations. The role involves sustaining exceptional cleanliness indoors and outdoors, supporting waste management, and collaborating with on-site teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain internal communal spaces including entrances, lobbies, corridors, staircases, lifts, and amenities to a high standard.
- Manage bin stores and handle waste and recycling processes, ensuring disposal areas remain hygienic.
- Perform litter picking and keep external pathways, courtyards, and parking areas clean and safe.
- Operate cleaning machinery and supplies properly, maintaining the equipment in good condition.
- Monitor inventory, replenish stock, and ensure safe storage of cleaning materials.
- Report any hazards, damage, spills, or maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Coordinate effectively with concierge, security staff, and contractors.
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented individual committed to creating spotless, inviting environments.
- Reliable and punctual, able to manage daily routines and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, colleagues, and external contractors.
- Conscientious about safety standards and ready to follow health and safety protocols including COSHH guidelines.
- Physically active role involving walking, lifting, and manual cleaning tasks.
Preferred Experience
- Prior cleaning experience in residential complexes, hotels, offices, or public facilities.
- Knowledge of waste and recycling processes in multi-building sites.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as scrubber dryers and carpet cleaners.
- Understanding of safety measures related to chemical handling.
- Experience working in facilities or concierge teams with customer-facing responsibilities.
