Job Description

As a Cleaner at Camp Hill, you will ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the aged care facility. Your role includes performing routine cleaning duties in resident rooms, common areas, and offices while maintaining high standards and adhering to infection control and safety practices. Interacting positively and compassionately with residents is a key part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all cleaning tasks during your shift to meet facility standards.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful rapport with residents.
• Clean assigned areas including resident rooms, communal spaces, and offices, following established cleaning procedures.
• Keep the facility hygienic and orderly at all times.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to the relevant team.
• Follow infection control policies and use personal protective equipment appropriately.
• Observe safe work practices to ensure your safety and that of others.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in cleaning within commercial, healthcare, or aged care settings is preferred; however, a willingness to learn is welcomed.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, products, and equipment suited for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to adhere to cleaning protocols and schedules strictly.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• A compassionate approach towards elderly residents coupled with a positive attitude.
• Understanding of infection control principles and their practical application.
• Physically able to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
