Employment Opportunity
The Civil Construction Operator will play a critical role in executing construction projects aimed at enhancing three waters infrastructure. This position supports Veolia's approved capital works program, primarily focusing on capital projects but adaptable to varying contract and client requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the capital works team on-site to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of project objectives
- Manage all phases of capital works projects from initiation to finalisation
- Perform thorough risk assessments and enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-harm environment
- Collaborate closely with team leads, contractors, and internal departments to ensure consistent communication and project success
- Deliver work aligned with the highest quality standards
- Keep precise and up-to-date project documentation during site activities
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualifications in drain laying or industry construction are preferred; training will be provided for the right applicant
- Hands-on experience in trade-specific construction work
- Familiarity with the water and/or wastewater sectors and a basic understanding of water treatment technologies is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and contractors
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting
- Competence in troubleshooting issues with three waters infrastructure
- Experience with civil works and operating machinery such as excavators
- Certification to operate Class 2 and 4 trucks
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and practical methodologies
- High motivation, strong attention to detail, and commitment to excellent customer service
