Certified Drone Operator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Drone Cleaning Technician to operate drone-based cleaning systems at various project locations throughout the UAE, primarily focusing on facades, glass surfaces, solar panels, roofs, and other building exteriors. This full-time position requires adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate drones equipped for cleaning tasks on high-rise buildings and other exterior surfaces.
• Execute thorough pre-flight and post-flight drone inspections.
• Conduct cleaning operations on facades, glass panels, solar panels, roofs, and similar structures using drone technology.
• Assess weather and site conditions prior to commencement of operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to approved flight plans, procedural guidelines, and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain detailed flight logs and operational documentation.
• Perform site inspections including risk assessments before initiating drone operations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and site personnel to coordinate activities effectively.
• Set up necessary safety zones and barricades at operation sites.
• Verify all required permits and approvals are obtained before starting work.
• Comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any incidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions immediately to management.
• Safeguard the well-being of the public, property, clients, and team members throughout operations.
• Regularly inspect and maintain drones and associated equipment, including batteries, controllers, pumps, hoses, nozzles, and other accessories.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical faults.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Document daily operations, submit before-and-after site photographs, and prepare comprehensive completion reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience operating commercial drones is desired.
• Experience in drone-assisted facade cleaning, high-rise maintenance, inspections, or industrial drone usage is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cleaning systems and pressure washing equipment is a plus.
• Holding a valid UAE Driving Licence is beneficial.

Drone Licence Requirements

• Preference will be given to candidates possessing a valid UAE drone or remote pilot licence or certification.
• Applicants without a current drone licence but with relevant operational experience and technical expertise may also be considered.
• Candidates must be prepared and eligible to comply with UAE commercial drone operation regulations.
