As the business continues to grow, an exciting opportunity is available in Doha for the role of Cargo Inventory Management Manager.

Role Summary

The Manager will oversee revenue optimization of cargo capacity across passenger and freighter flights for the assigned network region. Key responsibilities encompass setting and implementing revenue management strategies, leading and developing a team of Cargo Inventory Management Specialists and Analysts, and ensuring optimal cargo utilization and margin across the network rather than on a flight leg basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team adopting a network-first approach to maximize margin rather than focusing on individual flight legs.
• Monitor economic performance of flights consistently through detailed analysis of flow and trend data; identify and recommend opportunities to improve.
• Coordinate performance reviews with stakeholders to discuss route economics, pinpoint constraints, and develop practical mitigation plans.
• Define and enforce cargo inventory management strategies including inventory control, coordinating allotment versus free-sale capacity, setting overbooking and risk levels informed by no-show trends and demand fluctuations.
• Continuously monitor the commercial impact of inventory strategies through reporting and analysis; guide the team on strategy adjustments in real time to maximize profitability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on projects related to inventory management, reporting to the designated Manager of Cargo Inventory Management.
• Regularly reassess team objectives, processes, and practices to ensure alignment with business goals, implementing changes as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with at least 6 years of relevant experience in airline, cargo, or logistics sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of revenue management, network optimization, cargo operational and commercial procedures.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, coupled with strong persuasion and influence skills.
• Experience in project and stakeholder management, with a strong orientation towards data-driven digitization, innovation, and change management.
