Job description
Position Overview
This full-time role is based in Taralga, NSW, within Uniting's aged care home. The Care Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by offering compassionate support and assistance with daily activities aimed at maintaining their independence.
Key Duties
- Provide compassionate care, companionship, and emotional support to aged care residents.
- Assist with daily personal care including showering, hygiene, dressing, mealtime assistance, and mobility support.
- Support medication management and basic wound dressing tasks.
- Facilitate residents' participation in community recreational and social events.
Qualifications and Candidate Profile
- Possession of Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience in aged or community care preferred, though candidates with passion and new qualifications are welcome.
- Demonstrate adaptability, empathy, resourcefulness, and alignment with Uniting’s core values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
