Job description
About the Role
As a Business Development Representative at Net Zero Evolution, you will engage with hiring teams across the UK, Europe, and the US to evaluate their specific recruiting needs. Unlike typical BDR roles that offer a single product and a strict script, you will have the flexibility to present three different recruitment solutions: retained and managed search assignments, advertising vacancies on our specialist platform NetZero.Careers, or independent hiring backed by our TalentPilot platform. Your primary responsibility is to qualify the needs accurately and connect them with the appropriate service, booking meetings or demos for the Client Management team to continue the process.
Company Background
Net Zero Evolution specializes exclusively in recruiting talent for the decarbonization sectors, including electric vehicles, renewables, hydrogen, and associated infrastructure. We support clients via retained search, RPO, workforce mobilisation, and specialized platforms like NetZero.Careers and TalentPilot. Our commitment to sustainability includes planting ten trees for every successful placement made.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AI-generated account plans to identify promising leads rather than cold-calling blindly.
- Conduct outbound B2B outreach via cold calls and emails, qualifying potential clients' recruitment needs.
- Determine whether clients require search assignments, job postings on NetZero.Careers, or hiring using TalentPilot tools.
- Arrange meetings or demonstrations with the Client Management team based on client requirements.
- Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline and manage communication independently without relying on automated messaging sequences.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in outbound B2B sales, cold calling, cold emailing, or appointment setting is essential.
- Recruitment or SaaS experience is not necessary.
- Strong curiosity and consultative questioning skills, preferring to ask multiple questions rather than pitch immediately.
- Organizational skills to manage and track a dynamic sales pipeline.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate clients across UK, Europe, and US time zones, including occasional early mornings and evenings.
Rewards and Growth Opportunities
- Starting salary between £30,000 and £33,000 with additional uncapped commission potential.
- The possibility to shape the role and career path leading to Head of Outbound position with equity participation.
- Work in a modern London office environment four days per week featuring a fully expensed on-site gym, shower facilities with towel service, and a rooftop terrace.
Additional Information
This is the company's inaugural BDR role, offering a chance to define the position and influence future outbound strategies. The role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for learning and improving, especially in phone outreach and qualification. The company encourages applicants who want to be recognized and rewarded for their effectiveness.
