Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our sales team in Greater London. This role involves collaborating closely with Account Executives to generate and nurture high-quality leads within a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment. You will represent the PagerDuty brand as a primary contact, using modern outbound prospecting techniques to engage and educate potential clients about our value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate the unique value and benefits of PagerDuty’s solutions, focusing beyond product features to address customer-specific challenges.
- Adopt the Command of the Message (COM) and solution-selling methodologies effectively.
- Achieve consistent sales targets while maintaining strong collaboration and time management skills.
- Prepare thoroughly for meetings and presentations, ensuring accurate follow-ups to support long-term company initiatives.
- Strategically target enterprise accounts using diverse communication channels including phone, email, video, and social media.
- Engage in discovery conversations with various levels within target accounts.
- Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Gong Engage, and Demandbase to streamline sales efforts.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads and opportunities.
- Resilience and adaptability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving sales setting.
- Passion for technology and innovation.
- 1-2 years of experience in outbound prospecting.
- Preferred: previous sales development experience and familiarity with salesforce.com.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite in our Moorgate office with an expectation to work onsite 1-2 times per week to foster collaboration and growth.
