Job description
About PheedLoop
PheedLoop is a rapidly growing Canadian company delivering essential technology solutions to the global events sector. Our innovative platform serves a diverse range of live, hybrid, and virtual events, increasing efficiency and profitability through automation and smart hardware integrations like self-check-in devices and badges. We pride ourselves on agile development, close customer engagement, and producing measurable outcomes. The workplace environment promotes challenge-seeking, continuous learning, and high motivation, set within our Toronto office as a fully onsite position.
Role Overview
We are seeking an outgoing Business Development Representative to generate fresh leads and fuel our sales pipeline. This entry-level position focuses on proactive outreach, engaging prospective clients who are unfamiliar with PheedLoop, and advancing qualified leads to senior sales colleagues. This role requires tenacity, excellent communication, and a willingness to learn—experience is less critical than ambition and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective companies and decision-makers to understand their potential interest in our offerings.
- Conduct targeted outbound campaigns using personalized emails, phone calls, and LinkedIn messaging to initiate new dialogues.
- Engage prospects to assess their needs and fit, then schedule discovery meetings for the Account Executives team.
- Provide detailed context from interactions to prepare Account Executives for follow-up conversations.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline within the CRM, tracking all activities and follow-ups accurately.
- Consistently achieve daily outreach and monthly qualified meeting objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Highly driven and resilient individuals who remain motivated despite frequent rejection.
- Strong written and verbal communication with clarity and persuasion.
- Coachability — eager to receive feedback, implement changes swiftly, and improve continuously.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks and CRM data diligently.
- Curious about client challenges and how our solutions can meet their needs.
- Open to recent graduates or those with up to one year of professional experience, even without direct BDR background.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Previous work or internship experience in dynamic tech environments, SaaS platforms, or startups.
- Familiarity or exposure to CRM or sales engagement platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Outreach.
- Interest or knowledge about the events industry landscape.
Behavioral Traits
- Self-motivated achiever who proactively pursues objectives.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with unknown contacts by phone or online.
- Competitive nature with a focus on surpassing goals.
- Ability to follow and optimize structured sales processes through learning and adaptation.
Additional Details and Benefits
- Full employer-paid health insurance coverage emphasizing employee well-being.
- Convenient office location directly connected to Toronto’s TTC subway system, simplifying commute.
- Opportunities for team bonding through lunches, professional development, and social activities.
- Engagement in a high-performing, ambitious culture where each team member makes a significant early impact.
If you are eager to grow both personally and professionally in a fast-paced environment and want to contribute to shaping the future of global events technology, this role offers immediate responsibility and growth potential.
