Position Overview
We seek a seasoned Business Development Manager to expand our client portfolio throughout Europe. This pivotal role focuses on growing our presence in the UK, DACH region, and broader European markets by engaging high-profile individuals, executives, and well-known brands with Status Labs' offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and investigate new business opportunities across European territories through channels such as phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and social platforms.
- Present and promote Status Labs' service portfolio to potential clients including company leaders, founders, and public figures.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle from initial engagement through deal closure.
- Maintain and update a sales pipeline within HubSpot CRM, ensuring timely and consistent follow-ups.
- Foster and develop partnerships with referral sources throughout assigned markets.
- Create customised proposals and detailed reputation management reports for prospective clients.
- Integrate successfully closed clients into ongoing account management workflows, identifying possibilities for upselling.
- Collaborate with Sales, Strategy, and Account Management departments to enhance outreach tactics and communication strategies.
- Stay informed about trends in digital PR, reputation management, and SEO sectors.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years in business development or sales, preferably with experience selling complex services or products.
- Ability to work independently within a hybrid and multinational European team setup.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; polished and confident presentation style.
- Additional languages common in Europe (such as German, French, Italian, Spanish) are advantageous given the role's geographic scope.
- Prior exposure to reputation management, PR, communications, or agency work is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
- Possesses curiosity and commercial insight with an interest in media, branding, current events, and international affairs.
- Exceptional research skills, strong organisation, and capable of managing personal priorities and sales pipelines effectively.
- Applicants must hold legal work rights in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience, with uncapped commission leading to on-target earnings between £64,000 and £70,000. Top performers can achieve annual earnings of £120,000 to £180,000 or more.
- Permanent full-time contract offering a hybrid work model with UK team members required to attend the London office approximately once monthly.
