About the Company
Our client is a global provider of comprehensive cybersecurity solutions and services, actively expanding within the Middle East region. They support various sectors including financial services, healthcare, government, retail, technology, and manufacturing. Their expertise encompasses cybersecurity consulting and compliance, security testing and assessments, managed security services, data privacy, governance and risk management, cloud and application security, and professional cybersecurity training. The company holds industry-recognized certifications and collaborates with organizations to enhance their security posture and ensure compliance with both local and international regulations.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will spearhead the company's market expansion and client acquisition efforts in Qatar. This position is an individual contributor role focused on new business development, involving ownership of the entire sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification, client engagement, solution proposal, negotiation to deal closure. The role requires familiarity with the Qatar market and a well-established network of key decision-makers in private sector organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a strategic business development plan tailored for Qatar.
- Identify and secure new clients for cybersecurity solutions across the local market.
- Generate a robust sales pipeline via outbound prospecting, referrals, networking events, partnerships, and industry contacts.
- Market and sell enterprise and mid-market cybersecurity products and services.
- Manage end-to-end sales processes including lead generation, qualification, proposal creation, negotiation, and deal finalization.
- Engage with senior-level stakeholders such as CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, IT heads, risk and compliance officers, procurement, and business leaders.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of clients' cybersecurity needs and collaborate with technical teams to tailor appropriate solutions.
- Build and maintain partnerships with channel partners, technology vendors, consultants, and other industry influencers.
- Keep precise records of sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and revenue projections.
- Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and cybersecurity forums.
- Gather and report market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and new business prospects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 8 years’ experience in business development, enterprise sales, or solution sales.
- Demonstrated history of selling cybersecurity products or services successfully.
- Proven record of consistently reaching or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience in generating, nurturing, and closing new customer business, not just account management.
- Proficient in managing full sales cycles independently.
- Strong knowledge of the Qatar commercial environment and market dynamics.
- Existing contacts and relationships with local enterprise decision-makers highly preferred.
- Experience engaging with private-sector clients; familiarity with government sector sales is advantageous.
- Able to present cybersecurity offerings in terms of commercial benefits.
- Capable of working autonomously in a market development context.
- Willingness to travel locally for client engagements and regionally as necessary.
- Strong proficiency in English communication; Arabic language skills are a plus.
