Job description
About H Project
H Project is a Singapore-based social enterprise dedicated to teaching practical self-compassion to seniors, caregivers, ex-inmates, and adults facing crisis. Our funding model involves paid corporate workshops which subsidize free programs for vulnerable populations. Additionally, we engage with prisoners through letter writing and facilitate connections between ex-inmates and volunteers who support the vulnerable.
We are an early-stage, evidence-driven organization aiming to build a sustainable impact beyond any individual contributor.
Role Overview
We seek a passionate individual to lead the commercial and funding efforts of H Project alongside the founders—the essential force driving all other activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on meeting new people, engaging in meaningful conversations, and connecting others to causes they find valuable. If you naturally build relationships and can transform them into actual paid partnerships, corporate contracts, or grants that fund free classes, you will find fulfillment here.
Compassion is key because our work supports individuals who are facing hardship—lonely seniors, exhausted caregivers, and people rehabilitating after prison. Candidates should care deeply about these communities beyond viewing this as merely a business opportunity.
Compensation and Growth
This is an early-stage position without a fixed salary initially. Compensation grows in tandem with the business, including founder equity and a share of revenues generated through your efforts. We value collaboration and ownership in shaping the venture from its foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging with companies, foundations, and community groups through meaningful conversations to promote H Project's mission.
- Converting relationships into revenue-generating workshops, sponsored programs, and long-term partnerships.
- Researching, identifying, and applying for grants and funding aligned with the organization's goals.
- Collaborating in ongoing learning and development to refine effective strategies.
- Participating actively in decision-making as an invested partner rather than only executing instructions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in sales, partnerships, or fundraising with a passion for the work.
- Natural at cultivating relationships that lead to concrete outcomes.
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Deep empathy for the target beneficiary groups and alignment with the mission.
- Familiarity with Singapore's ecosystem and networks to open relevant doors.
Compensation Details
You will receive founder equity, a portion of the revenue you help secure, and escalating pay as the business expands, starting with no base salary. Full details can be discussed during conversations.
