Key Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager with daily operations in our Lowestoft branch.
• Lead and mentor branch team members by offering guidance, training, and feedback.
• Assist customers at the trade counter, providing knowledgeable advice on products.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers, handle inquiries, and process sales.
• Perform general warehouse tasks such as receiving goods, order picking, and packing.
• Occasional driving of a 3.5 tonne van for delivery duties.

Working Hours

This is a full-time, permanent position for 40 hours weekly from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday shifts on a rota basis from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Candidate Profile

• Preferably has previous experience in the industry or related merchant environment.
• Experience in face-to-face customer service or sales roles.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Team-oriented with the flexibility to perform diverse tasks ensuring smooth branch operations.
• Readiness to manage branch operations during the Branch Manager's absence.
• Motivated to learn, with a positive attitude and a robust work ethic.
• Holds a full UK manual driving licence.
