Job description
Overview
This role is responsible for generating invoices accurately and on time for loss adjusting and claims management services, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Duties
- Create and send invoices per billing terms and service level agreements for claims and loss adjusting services.
- Examine claim files to confirm all payable fees and expenses are accurately captured and documented.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific billing instructions, contractual fee structures, and agreed-upon rates.
- Validate the accuracy of customer, vendor, and billing master data to reduce invoice errors.
- Track billing timelines to guarantee invoices reach correct contacts within the agreed service periods.
- Confirm billing data completeness and correctness before issuing invoices, ensuring claim handlers attach all necessary supporting documents, escalating delays as required.
- Detect and resolve any inaccuracies related to claims data, customer information, pricing, currencies, taxes, or costs.
- Maintain comprehensive billing documentation to assist internal and external audits, identify trends affecting billing quality, and suggest improvements.
- Coordinate with loss adjusters, claims handlers, and billing managers to resolve invoice issues and ensure contractual alignment.
- Respond swiftly to client billing inquiries and help settle invoice disputes.
- Work alongside Accounts Receivable to promote prompt payment collection.
- Demonstrate responsibility and collaborate effectively to meet billing KPIs and monthly targets.
- Contribute to projects enhancing billing process efficiency, including system enhancements and automation testing.
- Report and assist in resolving system problems impacting billing.
- Support global efforts towards process standardization and master data governance.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and other teams.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in billing, finance operations, accounts receivable, or revenue management.
- High attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and capacity to collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and enterprise systems such as ERP, billing, or claims management platforms.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience working in customer-focused, global organizations.
- Collaborative team player mindset focused on shared goals.
- Good time management and adaptability to evolving business needs.
- Dependability during critical business periods.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and process enhancements.
- Background in insurance, loss adjusting, claims management, or professional services is advantageous.
