Job description
Overview
New York Technology Partners is seeking a skilled BI Analyst based in Westlake, OH, comfortable operating in a hybrid work environment with two on-site days per week. The role focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making through development of analytical tools and dashboards for e-commerce businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop decision support tools including BI dashboards and interactive analytical applications to enhance organizational decision making
- Examine large datasets by assessing data quality, detecting patterns, and presenting findings using Tableau
- Conduct data preparation, design and analyze A/B tests, apply statistical modeling, data mining, segmentation, clustering, and data visualization as required
- Identify performance insights and growth opportunities across e-commerce operations to inform strategic and consumer experience improvements
- Collaborate with data warehouse teams to define data requirements, maintain data infrastructure, and address data quality and metadata issues
Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years experience scripting in SQL or analytical programming with R or Python in a business environment
- Proficient with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for over 5 years
- Familiarity with Alteryx and experience in e-commerce analytics, including use of Google Analytics or similar tools, is advantageous
- Strong capability in data visualization and dashboard management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive with creativity and enthusiasm for quantitative analytics
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization and time management skills
- Communicates effectively with minimal supervision
- Motivated by innovation and continuous improvement
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field preferred. Practical experience in analytical roles is highly valued.
