Bartender

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and personable Bartender to skillfully prepare and serve a variety of drinks while delivering outstanding customer service. The role involves taking beverage orders, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. Additionally, the bartender will monitor inventory levels and ensure guests are promptly attended to with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and accurately take their drink orders.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Handle cash and card transactions efficiently through the POS system and reconcile daily takings.
• Promote daily drink specials and recommend beverages to patrons.
• Restock the bar with drinks, garnishes, glassware, and necessary supplies regularly.
• Track inventory and promptly report any shortages to management.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the bar area at all times.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age as needed.
• Address customer issues in a courteous and professional manner.
• Comply with company policies, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in bartending or beverage service is preferred.
• Familiarity with popular cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with an excellent customer service approach.
• Friendly, confident, engaging, and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
