About the Role
Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an opportunity to enhance your skills within the retail sector. The associate provides excellent customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintains and organizes the bakery area, and assists with stocking and selling bakery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery items including breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
- Ensure all bakery products are correctly priced and labeled.
- Follow policies related to cold storage compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Observe strict food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Handle ordering processes, manage clearances, price adjustments, and proper labeling/signage compliance.
- Prepare bakery products according to thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality standards.
- Secure all product displays safely and appropriately.
Compensation
The position offers a starting hourly wage of $18.05.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be aged 16 or older.
