Bakery Associate

Role Overview

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play an essential role in enhancing customer satisfaction within the retail bakery section. Your duties will include delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining the bakery display's visual appeal and stock levels, and supporting sales efforts aligned with Walmart’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of quality and aesthetic presentation for bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery area is well-stocked and consistently prepared for business hours.
• Accurately label and price all bakery merchandise.
• Comply fully with protocols related to cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, and management of sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere strictly to food handling, safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards.
• Follow established procedures for ordering, product clearance, pricing adjustments, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery products by correctly applying thawing and baking techniques to preserve product quality and appearance.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and properly to protect merchandise and customers.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.95 CAD.
