Role Overview

Join our vibrant Food Services Team as a Baker, where you will have the opportunity to explore various baking techniques and flavors. You will work with high-quality equipment to create delicious baked goods while following standardized recipes and production guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of food items in alignment with production standards and recipe specifications.
• Organize your workspace by arranging all necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and chop ingredients to prepare for baking.
• Operate kitchen appliances including ovens, stoves, and mixers safely and effectively.
• Utilize various utensils, including knives, with proper safety precautions.
• Store food items appropriately, adhering strictly to food safety policies and storage protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests, colleagues, and clients.
• Follow all safety regulations and food sanitation guidelines as outlined by the company.
• Protect company assets and ensure adherence to security measures.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in baking or similar food preparation roles is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of baking principles, food safety standards, and hygiene procedures.
• Required to obtain and maintain relevant food safety certifications.
• Possess fundamental math skills necessary for accurate measurements and inventory management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.

Physical and Safety Considerations

This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, as well as prolonged periods of standing and walking. Wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to comply with safety regulations.
