Backend Software Engineer

We are a venture-backed company, and our platform is used by tens of thousands of developers worldwide in production. We are currently looking for a backend software engineer to join our team of passionate, dedicated professionals. As a backend software engineer at Northflank, you will play a crucial role in building core technology and contributing to the platform's stability, performance, and product roadmap.This position is remote.Timezone: Working hours aligned with UTC ± 2 hoursKey Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIsOptimize database performance and data structuresDevelop and maintain microservices architectureEnsure high availability and fault tolerance of our systemsCollaborate with front-end developers and DevOps teamsParticipate in code reviews and technical discussionsRequirements:3+ years of experience in backend developmentProficiency in languages such as Go, Python, or Node.jsStrong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with distributed systems and message queuesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of CI/CD practices and toolsContributions to open-source projectsWe offer a competitive salary, equity, and benefits package, and the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing startup at the forefront of the cloud-native revolution.If you are passionate about infrastructure software and want to join a dynamic team, we’d love to hear from you!CompensationThe compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to: skill set, experience, training, and location.
