Role Overview
In the role of Avionics Technician, you will actively engage in assembling and fabricating the electronic components of the Electron launch vehicle. This work involves hands-on tasks such as high-voltage battery assembly, wire harness construction and crimping, and precise soldering of printed circuit boards and avionics parts. Multiple teams currently seek professionals for these areas.
Shift and Location Details
The available shifts are on the evening schedule from Monday to Thursday, spanning 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. This schedule grants a three-day weekend every week along with an additional evening shift compensation. The workplace is onsite in Auckland, New Zealand, with relocation support if necessary.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Trade certification or a minimum of two years' relevant industry experience
- Experience in precise electrical or mechanical assembly processes
- Proficient operation of electrical, mechanical, and automated testing devices
- Understanding of electrostatic discharge (ESD) industry standards
- Strong visual acuity for inspecting printed circuit boards and wire assemblies to exacting quality standards
- Capability of producing high-quality components, including soldering and creating wire harnesses
