Job description
About Varsity
Varsity develops university-linked educational programs throughout India by collaborating with academic institutions. Their offerings include degrees, certifications, and executive education programs, managed through academic partnerships and comprehensive program ownership that spans from aligning curriculum to learner enrollment and support. Currently, they are in early developmental stages with initial programs active and more forthcoming.
Delivery Team Overview
The Delivery team ensures smooth operational management for all active university-linked programs, covering cohort initiations through certification completion. Their responsibilities extend to coordinating academic calendars, liaising with universities, enhancing learner experience, and monitoring program performance. This team collaborates cross-functionally with Partnerships, Sales, and Product units.
Role Overview
The Associate Program Manager leads the delivery success across a portfolio of university-partnered programs. This position involves oversight beyond single cohort management, focusing on overall portfolio performance standards and serving as a bridge between program execution teams and senior Delivery leadership. The role offers growth toward senior management positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage delivery outcomes for assigned program portfolios, ensuring adherence to academic calendars, excellent learner experience, and strong performance metrics.
- Monitor and communicate program performance to the Delivery Head, promptly identifying risks affecting the portfolio.
- Contribute operational insights to partnership renewal and expansion efforts in coordination with Partnerships and Sales.
- Adhere to and improve delivery processes, standard operating procedures, and quality benchmarks within managed programs.
- Escalate systemic issues beyond portfolio scope to the Delivery Head instead of independent resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in program operations, cohort coordination, academic operations, or university partnership management.
- Proven capability to autonomously manage a program portfolio or a complex singular partnership.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, including interactions with university executives and senior external parties.
- Data-focused approach to monitoring program performance, with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with LMS or CRM platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for reports and discussions with senior stakeholders.
