Associate Principal Façade Engineer

Overview

The Associate Principal Façade Engineer will take a pivotal leadership position to deliver advanced façade engineering consultancy. The role focuses on leading technical solutions, managing teams, engaging with clients, and ensuring projects meet deadlines and budgets across diverse assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of façade engineering services for both single-discipline and complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Directly own assigned projects, offering engineering expertise and technical assistance to façade consultancy teams.
• Successfully manage multiple projects or major project components, ensuring completion within set budgets and timelines.
• Prepare and supervise façade-related outputs such as engineering computations, detailed drawing sets, technical reports, specifications, and design evaluations.
• Provide informed technical advice on façade solutions including structural glass, curtain walls, glazing systems, skylights, windows, and overall building envelope design.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address project challenges collaboratively.
• Coordinate closely with management and teams across Malaysia, Singapore, and Dubai offices to align project goals.
• Track project costs and resource allocations to comply with financial limits; conduct progress reporting and risk assessments.
• Lead weekly project planning meetings and provide status updates on all responsibilities.
• Support proposal development by accurately evaluating team capacity and resource needs.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff, fostering their career growth through coaching and training programs.
• Facilitate in-house training on façade engineering principles and best practices.
• Monitor team workload, identify resourcing needs, and assist recruitment efforts when necessary.
• Promote a cooperative and high-achievement team culture.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Possesses extensive experience in façade engineering, consultancy, or building envelope design.
• Strong technical proficiency with curtain wall, glazing, façade access, structural glass, skylight, and window systems.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and projects.
• Familiarity with international façade design standards and regulatory codes.
• Proven client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experienced in managing budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
