Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs encompassing earthwork, site grading, roadways, paving, and drainage systems.
• Evaluate and verify design submissions from contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to harmonize civil design aspects.
• Prepare design calculations, Basis of Design documents, technical specifications, and standards.
• Contribute to FEED and detailed design stages for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Draft scopes of work for surveys including geotechnical, topographical, and underground scanning.
• Review vendor drawings and perform material quantity take-offs accurately.
• Participate in 3D model review sessions utilizing software such as Navisworks or SPR.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of civil engineering experience within petrochemical, fertilizer, refining, oil, or gas sectors.
• Between 5 to 7 years working with internationally recognized FEED or EPC contractors.
• Hands-on experience in both FEED and detailed design phases for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Site or construction exposure is a valuable asset.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of international design codes: AASHTO, ACI, API, ASTM, AWWA, NFPA, PIP.
• Experienced in earthwork design including rough and finish grading.
• Skilled in roadway and paving design, including geometric layout.
• Competency in site development planning, fencing, and gate layout.
• Familiar with local standards such as HCIS and RC.
• Design experience with stormwater management, sanitary sewer, firewater, and contaminated water drainage systems.
• Hydraulic design expertise for evaporation and first-flush ponds.
• Proficiency with software tools like CivilStorm, SewerGEMS, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or equivalents.
• Capability to prepare thorough design documentation, reports, and standards.
• Experience with 3D modeling and project review software such as Navisworks and SPR.
• Ability to perform detailed vendor drawing reviews and material quantity calculations.
