Job Overview
As an Assistant Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality care and support to service users with diverse needs. The role includes helping individuals achieve meaningful outcomes through assistance in daily living skills and community involvement, while adhering to company policies and promoting collaborative professional relationships within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with their daily schedule and support their participation in community activities.
- Encourage and support educational growth, skill development, and personal goal achievement.
- Help service users enhance living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.
- Follow organizational policies, standards, regulations, and codes of practice conscientiously.
- Work shifts that cover 24 hours a day across all seven days of the week as per the roster.
Qualifications and Skills
- No formal qualifications required for Assistant Support Worker roles; full training will be provided.
- Social Care Workers require a Level 7/8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare, or related fields and registration with CORU.
- Relevant life experience is advantageous though not mandatory.
- Must demonstrate a positive work attitude and enthusiasm for supporting individuals.
- Possession of a Full Driver’s Licence or being in the process of acquiring one is necessary.

Additional Information
The role involves supporting individuals with complex care needs, including but not limited to autism, Asperger Syndrome, acquired brain injuries, challenging behavior, intellectual disabilities with Alzheimer's or dementia, mental health recovery, and personality disorders.

Salary Range: 30,000 to 35,000 per annum.
