Role Overview
The Assistant Stage Manager position, based full-time on-site in Lucknow, entails assisting in the planning and smooth execution of all stage-related activities for events. Responsibilities include organizing rehearsals, managing backstage logistics, and cueing performers, technical teams, and production crew during live events. The role supports stage setup, lighting, and sound coordination and ensures seamless transitions between program segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track rehearsals and live event schedules.
- Manage backstage operations including props and equipment logistics.
- Support lighting and sound technicians in stage setup and transitions.
- Communicate real-time updates to event management and production teams.
- Collaborate closely with directors, production managers, artists, and vendors to ensure event quality.
- Maintain safety and compliance protocols backstage.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent event coordination and organizational capabilities to juggle multiple tasks and timelines during live shows.
- Basic technical knowledge of stage lighting and coordination with technical crews.
- Familiarity with music and performing arts to comprehend cues, show flow, and performance needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams including performers and vendors.
- Flexibility to work extended hours on-site, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to quickly address backstage challenges safely.
- Preferably previous experience in stage management, theatre, events, or related fields.
- Educational background in event management, performing arts, or related disciplines is a plus.
