Assistant Security Manager

Position Overview

As the Assistant Security Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, you will oversee the security operations to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees, and property. This role involves regular patrolling, emergency responses, safety inspections, CCTV monitoring, and access control enforcement, among other crucial security functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols across the entire property and manage room security while assisting guests with room access.
• Lead emergency response drills and perform daily inspections to identify and mitigate physical hazards and safety risks.
• Manage investigations, interviews, and key control audits ensuring proper security protocols.
• Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and alarm systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Authorize, control, and document access to secure areas within the premises.
• Provide assistance and support to guests and employees during emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR as required.
• Investigate accidents, compiling detailed reports, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• De-escalate disturbances according to company policies and handle interruptions or complaints professionally.
• Escort unauthorized or unwelcome individuals off the premises and ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.
• Use proper communication codes to request assistance and provide necessary documentation to employees.
• Support management in training, motivating, and coaching security personnel while exemplifying the principles of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, report unsafe work conditions, complete safety training, and uphold a professional appearance and confidentiality standards.
• Deliver courteous service by greeting guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and maintaining positive interpersonal relations with colleagues.
• Perform various physical tasks such as moving objects up to 50 pounds unaided or heavier with assistance, navigating challenging environments, and performing duties requiring fine motor skills.
• Fulfill any additional reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related security role.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a security or loss prevention capacity.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
