Role Overview

As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will partner closely with the Retail Manager to lead the Retail Operations team. Your responsibilities include driving sales, enhancing team skills, and elevating customer experience within a dynamic, high-traffic retail setting. You'll play an active leadership role on the floor, coaching staff, managing daily trading activities, and fostering an accountable team environment, preparing to take on broader leadership responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership support for a large front-end team in a busy retail environment
• Boost sales through effective floor management, merchandising, and inventory flow
• Oversee critical daily trading and team performance areas
• Assume leadership of the store during absences of Retail or Store Manager
• Coach and develop team members to improve service quality, productivity, and operational standards
• Contribute to cultivating a high-achieving, accountable, and dynamic team culture

Typical Daily Activities

• Lead shifts and monitor on-floor team performance
• Assist with daily trading decisions to maximize sales and enhance customer experiences
• Provide real-time coaching to improve team engagement and output
• Manage stock rotation and ensure sales floor readiness
• Support onboarding and development initiatives for new employees
• Collaborate with the Retail Manager to plan and implement store priorities

Candidate Profile

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, logistics, or similar sectors
• Ability to remain organized and effective under fast-paced conditions
• Collaborative leadership approach with confidence to step up when necessary
• Effective coaching skills and a commitment to staff development
• Hands-on, flexible mindset and willingness to work alongside the team on the sales floor
