Job description
Job Purpose
At Checkers & Rally’s, we strive to make a positive impact by supporting our Franchisees, Teams, and Guests. Serving as a member of the Corporate Field Operations team, the Assistant Manager aids the General Manager in implementing the restaurant strategy by meeting sales and profit objectives, adhering to procedures, and delivering outstanding Guest and Team experiences. This role supports both the restaurant and General Manager to ensure the establishment remains the top choice for Guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and profitability by fostering Guest satisfaction and overseeing daily restaurant operations.
- Report any issues or suggestions related to the restaurant, staff, or Guests to the General Manager promptly.
- Participate in recruiting and selecting appropriate Team Members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during shifts.
- Train Team Members in operational processes, company policies, and Guest service standards.
- Identify and address complaints as well as breaches of policy or procedure.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to improve Team Members' performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for both employees and Guests.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification in Food Safety is required.
- Between one to two years of management experience in a restaurant setting, ideally in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
- Fundamental math skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours.
- High energy level to manage a fast-paced environment effectively.
