About the Role

As part of our Asset Protection team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our business, employees, and customers by preventing theft, fraud, and policy violations in busy grocery and pharmacy environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly visible and professional presence in-store to actively deter theft, fraud, and breaches of company policies.
- Lawfully and safely apprehend offenders by following company protocols and legal procedures.
- Conduct thorough investigations, collect and analyze evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
- Work with store management to identify loss trends and develop effective prevention strategies to reduce shrinkage.
- Enforce compliance with corporate standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
- Adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment with flexibility and agility in scheduling.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License and a solid understanding of relevant legislation such as the Criminal Code of Canada and Trespass to Property Act.
- Proficient in using CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor that is approachable, confident, and respectful, paired with strong communication skills.
- Display high integrity, accountability, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in grocery, pharmacy, or similarly high-volume retail sectors is advantageous.
