Job description
Position Overview
Join a dynamic team supporting the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) as a Forward Planner in Wiesbaden, Germany. This role involves managing daily operations and coordination for the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP), conducting detailed research and analysis of policies and industrial issues, and supporting contract requirements preparation and exercise event scheduling. The position requires maintaining a DoD Secret Security clearance and may include up to 25% travel to support Department of Defense customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, synchronization, and coordination for LOGCAP, offering operational recommendations.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on emerging policies, regulations, and directives; prepare briefings and maintain exercise files using SharePoint.
- Create and maintain detailed LOGCAP contract requirements packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and review staff actions, requests for information, briefings, and memos in line with Army regulations.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and monitor ongoing operations and exercise requirements.
- Prepare special studies and briefing materials; manage Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects.
- Contribute to the development of training curricula and participate in training and exercise events.
- Attend meetings and teleconferences to support operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree holder.
- Minimum of 10 years supporting joint, U.S. Army, or component headquarters operations.
- Completion of military Intermediate Level Education (MEL4), Support Operations Course (Phase 2), with logistics deployment/combat support experience.
- Strong understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and Army sustainment enterprise operations.
- Experience working at one-star or higher level command.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Possess a valid U.S. passport and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
