About the Role

Join a prominent Australian Financial Services company specializing in Superannuation and Retirement Funds as an Application Security Architect. This permanent position is based in Melbourne CBD with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring office presence 2 to 3 days per week. The company is undergoing a major technological and digital transformation, offering a rewarding opportunity for those with a solid background in security architecture combined with application development and DevSecOps expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform threat modeling and conduct thorough security risk evaluations.
  • Offer expert security architecture advice across multiple platforms, including applications, APIs, web, and mobile.
  • Integrate security principles directly into solution designs and software delivery workflows.
  • Support and promote secure engineering practices within DevSecOps frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and delivery teams to ensure resilient and secure solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in Application Security Architecture.
  • Background in Application Development, Software Engineering, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Skilled in API security and able to carry out threat modeling effectively.
  • Adept at balancing stringent security requirements with business delivery goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.

Compensation and Work Conditions

  • Competitive total remuneration up to $240,000 including bonus and other benefits.
