Position Overview
This hybrid role requires the employee to work onsite at least 3 days each week in Dublin, Ireland. The company does not provide relocation assistance for this opportunity.

Job Summary
To support rapid growth and new market development, West is implementing a strategy to standardize, simplify, and centralize Global Procurement Services. This includes establishing a Global Business Centre in Dublin. The Analyst will report to the Reporting & Analytics Manager and collaborate with the Procurement leadership team. The role focuses on creating reporting solutions and providing analytical insights to aid sourcing and procurement activities. It offers strong career advancement through engagement with transformation initiatives and cutting-edge analytics technology implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive spend and cost analyses across direct and indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures to uncover opportunities for cost savings, consolidation, and value enhancement.
- Develop and manage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and should-cost models to support negotiations with suppliers.
- Maintain dashboards tracking savings pipelines, differentiating between negotiated, implemented, and realized savings.
- Assist Category Managers by providing analytical input during sourcing initiatives and executing category and commodity strategies.
- Deliver market intelligence including commodity pricing trends, supply and demand analysis, and risk assessments to guide strategic sourcing decisions and cost management.
- Monitor key commodity markets such as resins, aluminum, energy, and logistics, quantifying financial impacts for forecasting and inflation control.
- Support supplier performance evaluation by preparing data for reviews, developing scorecards and dashboards, and analyzing operational and financial trends related to supplier service levels and on-time-in-full delivery.
- Help identify supplier risks by analyzing delivery performance, quality issues, and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate across teams to standardize and maintain a central repository of analytical tools, commodity insights, and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support Procurement Services functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification.
- Experience in a shared service center environment within a multinational publicly traded company.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Purchase-to-Pay processes.
- Proven expertise in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with commodity market dynamics and cost drivers.
- Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership modeling techniques.
- Advanced skills with SAP, preferably MM/Ariba or S4 modules.
- Experience using data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents.
- Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable approach.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Adherence to company safety and quality policies at all times.
Additional Information
Travel: Approximately 10% travel, equating to up to 26 business days annually.
Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary work; occasional exertion up to 10 lbs (4 kgs). Tasks involve sitting for most of the workday.
Compensation: Annual base salary ranges from €48,312 to €61,488, determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other objective factors. Variable compensation and other incentives may apply. Employees may participate in comprehensive benefits and total rewards programs.
